We have had our Traveler 5 for over 20 years and it is still as good as new. For the last 4-5 years we have been using our RV more than the tent, but it still see’s ~ 30 days a season in the early spring and late fall/winter when we can’t get a trailer into our camping areas. I cannot speak for the quality of the non-USA made models since I have never used one, but I highly recommend the Springbar tents! We just inherited my father in laws tent and it is still going strong after 40+ years. If you take care of the tent, it will take care of you and future generations.
This is the last expedition tent I will ever buy! The quality is simply the best.
The stormfly material is exceptional. Its moisture repellency was proven by my stupid dog who urinated on it while I was reading the directions of how to install it. The stormfly has a smartly designed integrated zippered sleeve which encases the ridge pole. This zippered sleeve gives the tent more stability, sun resistance and weather protection. Great product, But as always keep an eye on your dog :-)
There might be 50 ways to leave your lover just like there’s a ton of ways to reconfigure the leisure port with these accessory panels… yahoo!
Great product. Very well made
I've had a few Springbar canvas duffels for camp gear and stuff. I had been using this smaller duffel for travel. It's perfect to use as an overflow bag if I need to throw clothes in there to make room in my checked bag for trinkets. My one complaint is that it only had handles and I couldn't add a shoulder strap. I bought this larger duffel and it's the perfect size for carry on or to be a checked bag.
I was looking at the Fjallraven canvas duffel but they wanted $95 for it. Then I remembered Springbar and it was less than half the cost for the same quality. This size is perfect because it can easily be a carry-on, checked bag, or I can throw it over my motorcycle and use it for weekend rides. I'm very pleased with it!
I haven’t yet put the storm fly through it’s paces . It is well made . I’m sure as with all Springbar equipment it will perform admiringly.
Awesome tent, set it up the day after I received it simple assembly and fast very good quality and well made will be using it in May in north central pennsylvania can’t wait also ordered the weekender duffle bag and camp tote matching colors to go with it.
We have not set it up yet, maybe this weekend to get familiar with it. looking forward to actually using it, seems like a high-quality product. We have some camping trips set up for this summer, so hopefully it’s reputation as one of the best tents made is true. Will post a other review later.
I have had a Skyliner for about a year. I wanted to get something smaller for my son to use on Boy Scout campouts. This thing is wonderful. The first weekend he used it we had some rain showers come through and it was water-tight without evening seasoning it. It held up like a bunker in the wind. Good size for two people on sleeping pads or one person on a low cot. I love all my Springbar tents.
This tent reminds me why I love camping so much. A canvas tent feels different in a good way but the spring bar tent is the best I've ever set up or slept in. The only complaint I have is that I didn't get one sooner.
Probably heavier than they need to be. I’ll expect that I never have a problem while using it. It’s a perfect fit too
I received abut 10 days ago and set it up in my backyard yesterday. Im 67 years old and put it up with only the help of my Boston terrier. A 10’x10’ is just the right size for me and my dog buddy. Super high quality fabric and excellent sewing workmanship.
I live in Colorado and will put it thru extreme tests soon, can’t wait!
great job!!!
